Head-to-Head
The Pats and Oil Kings go head to head in their fourth and final meeting of the season this evening. The Pats hold a 1-2-0-0 record against the defending champions this season. Carson Samoridny leads the Pats with five points (with the Hitmen) against the Oil Kings this season while Lane Scheidl has two goals in three contests against Edmonton. Michael St. Croix and T.J. Foster lead all point getters in the series with seven each. Regina is on a three game win streak after a perfect three-in-three weekend, while the Oil Kings are on a three game streak of their own. Tonight’s game will be broadcast on 620 CKRM starting with the Press Box Sports Bar Pre-Game Show at 6:35 p.m.
Lead Up: Pats Sweep 3-in-3 with 4-3 SO Win Over Brandon
Early in the third period, the Pats looked to be coming up just short of a perfect weekend when they were down 3-1 in the third. Midway through the frame, though, Carson Samoridny cut the deficit to one and Chandler Stephenson tipped in a Morgan Klimchuk one-timer to tie the game at three. Overtime didn’t solve anything and only one shooter would tally in the shootout as Stephenson’s winner sent the Pats to the 4-3 SO victory. For game highlights, click here.
