Broncos - Blades Trade

SWIFT CURRENT SK – The Swift Current Broncos have traded 1996 born defenseman Cole Bevan and a 7th round 2015 bantam draft pick to The Saskatoon Blades for 1995 born defenseman Ayrton Nikkel

“We’ve seen him play a lot and see some untapped skill” commented Bronco Coach and General Manager Mark Lamb on Nikkel. “He’s an aggressive defenseman who fits in well with the identity of our team” added Lamb. 

Nikkel, a 6’2 195 pound product of Kelowna, BC has played 173 WHL games with The Brandon Wheat Kings, Everett Silvertips and Saskatoon Blades. He has 8 career goals, 26 assists for 34 points and 290 penalty minutes. 

The Broncos part ways with 1996 born defenseman Cole Bevan. The Cloverdale, BC product is entering his 2ndseason in the WHL. His rookie campaign included 15 games with 1 assist and 9 penalty minutes.
