Hounds 4 Pat Canadians 3 SO

The Regina Pat Canadians traveled to Wilcox to play the Notre Dame Hounds on Saturday, September 20, 2014.  The lost in a shoot out 4 -3. 


Scoring for the Pat Canadians was Landon Walters, Riley Woods and Tyran Brown, who also had an assist.  Mathew Chekay had two assists for the Pat C’s.


Notre Dame Hounds goal scorers were Cody Lightfoot, Chance Longhorn and Rhett Kingston.


Carke Flegel stopped 28 of 31 shots in regulation and overtime.


Justin Gauthier and Reed Cooper shared the goaltending dutiesLfor the Notre Dame Hounds and they stopped  33 of 36 shots .


In the shootout the Pat Canadian shooters were Riley Woods (miss) / Connor Chaulk (scored) and Tyran Brown (miss), while the Notre Dame shooters were Rhett Kingston (scored) and Taylor Runigham (scored) for the win.


Regina travels to Wilcox on Tuesday, September 23 for their last exhibition game – they current sit with a 3 and 2 record for the exhibition season. 


The Pat Canadians started their season on the road  in North Battleford on Friday, September 26.


The Pat Canadians had 11 players selected for the SMAAAHL / SJHL showcase to be held in Warman, Sask., on Sunday, September 28.  This is an all star series were the top 40 1997 / 1998 born players have been selected by the SMAAAHL teams and the SJHL teams.


For the Regina Pat Canadians;  Jake Tesarowski, Owen Sillinger, Arthur Miller, Nathan Gelsinger, Clarke Flegel, Riley Mohr in the 1997 group.  In the 1998 grouping the Canadians had selected : Riley Woods, Mark Edmands, Ryan Roberts, Jake Heerspink, Ty Barnstable.


The next home game for the Regina Pat Canadians is Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 7:30 PM vs the Telus Cup Champions Prince Albert Mintos.  Then on Sunday, October 5 we play the Saskatoon Contacts at 7:30 PM.
