The Regina Thunder and Winnipeg Rifles will play in a first place match-up on Sunday in Winnipeg. Both teams are 3 and 1 on the year, the Thunder are the 2nd ranked team in Canada while the Rifles are number 3. This is the first of two meetings between the clubs with the second coming in Regina. The Thunder won last week 35-14 in Edmonton against the Wildcats and are two and oh on the road. The Rifles have been off since September 7th when they beat the Edmonton Wildcats 27-20, their third straight win.


The Thunder offense has scored 96 points in 4 games for a 24 per game average. They have put up 100 first downs, 482 rushing yards and 1052 yards through the air. The team has given up 9 interceptions, 3 fumbles lost and 2 turnovers on downs.

QB Jaeden Marwick is 72 of 120 passing for 864 yards, 3 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.

Spencer Mack is 13 of 22 for 188 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.

The leading receiver is Preston Bews with 20 catches for 307 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Kasim Ocaya has 15 catches for 176. Kristane Desautels has 12 grabs for 157 yards. Matt Frass 11 for 92 yards and 2 TD's. Levi Paul 7 for 84, Justin Bannin 6 for 68, Reuben Viveros 5 for 57, Colton Klassen 3 for 43 and Thomas Bresciani 1 for 8.

The leading rusher is QB Jaeden Marwick who has carried 23 times for 158 yards and a touchdown. RB Colton Klassen has 26 for 127 and 2 scores, Matt Frass 39 for 119 and Justin Bannin 21 for 55 yards and 2 TD's.


The Rifles offense has scored 112 points in four games for a 28 per game average. They have put up 57 first downs, 591 rushing yards and 855 yards through the air. Winnipeg has thrown 6 interceptions, lost two fumbles and turned it over once on downs.

QB Tyler Vierra is 46 of 75 passing for 606 yards, 5 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.
