Pat Canadians 10 Argos 1

The Regina Pat Canadians hosted the Notre Dame Argos on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 and were victorious.  This was a night were the current version of the Pat Canadians honored one of the past Air Canada Cup championship Pat Canadians teams.  The 1988 Pat Canadians who won the 2nd Air Canada Cup for the franchise were introduced prior to the start of the game.  With former Captain Craig Pho there drop the puck for Nathan Gelsinger of the Pat C’s and Riley Bechard of the ND Argos.

 

Owen Sillinger led the way for the Pat C’s with 2 goals and 3 assists, Jake Tesarowski had 2 goals and 2 assists, Tyran Brown had 2 goals, with singles going to Matthew Smishek, Conner Chaulk, Arthur Miller and Bryce Platt.

 

Curtis Meger stopped 26 of 27 shots directed his way in the victory.

 

Scoring for Notre Dame Argos was Geoffrey Berchert.

 

Justin Gauthier and Dawson Weatherhill 36 of 46 shots in the loss. 

 

The next home game for the Regina Pat Canadians is Saturday, October 25, when the Tisdaly Trojans are in town – puck drop is 4:30 PM.  The team then travels to Beardys and Prince Albert on the weekend of October 18 – 19.
