Pats - Raiders Game Day Preview

Head-to-Head
The Regina Pats (2-2-0-0) take on the Prince Albert Raiders (3-1-0-0) tonight for the second time this season.  The teams’ previous meeting saw the Pats pull off a late comeback in a 4-3 victory last week.  Adam Brooks and Patrick D’Amico lead the Pats against the Raiders with two points (1G, 1A) while Jordan Tkatch is the top Raider with a similar score line.  Coming into tonight’s game, the Pats have won two straight, both on the road.  Meanwhile, Prince Albert scored a 3-2 against Moose Jaw last night. This evening’s game can be heard on 620 CKRM starting at 6:35 p.m.
Lead Up: Pats Grab 4-3 Comeback Win over RaidersRylee Zimmer’s first WHL goal came at an opportune moment as the 17-year old tallied on a penalty shot late in the third period to bring the Pats even with the Raiders.  Two minutes later, Adam Brooks potted the game winner in the 4-3 Regina win.  Colton Kroeker and Patrick D’Amico also tallied for the Pats.
Steel to Play in U17 TournamentSam Steel joins fellow top 2013 Bantam Draft picks Tyler Benson and Kale Clague as members of Team Canada Black at the 2014 World U17 Hockey Challenge in Sarnia-Lamberton next month.  Steel has four points (1G, 3A) in four games this season.
Klimchuk on His Way BackThe Pats’ top offensive threat is on his way back from Calgary.  Morgan Klimchuk was reassigned by the Flames yesterday after playing two pre-season games with the NHL club.  The 2013 1st Round pick was injured in a game against the Arizona Coyotes and it is uncertain when he’ll draw into the Pats lineup.
Brown Backing UpThe Pats feature a new face between the pipes as the team recalled goaltender Tyler Brown (’97) from the Winnipeg Blues of the MJHL this week.  In one appearance with the Blues this season, Brown picked up a win, stopping 23 of 25 shots along the way.
