Regina Pats Funding the Fight for Ten Years

Regina, Saskatchewan – The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce the details of Breast Cancer Awareness Night on Saturday, October 25th as the Pats face the Swift Current Broncos in a 7 p.m. puck drop.  The Regina Pats are proud to have been ‘Funding the Fight’ for ten years.
As in past seasons, the Brandt Centre will have a new look as the ice and glass stanchions turn pink for Saturday’s game thanks to the efforts of Imagination Ink.
Fans can help the Pats fund the fight just by attending Saturday’s game as $2 from every walk-up ticket sold will be donated to local Canadian Cancer Society peer support groups.
Special pink memorabilia is available for fans hoping to further support the cause and add to the pink in the rink.  10th anniversary shirts and hats along with pink branded toques will be on sale at the Neutral Zone Store and Kiosk.  As a throwback to the Pats’ first Breast Cancer Awareness Night, limited edition pink sticks signed by the Pats will be up for silent auction on the concourse throughout the night.
“I’m proud to have worked on this event for ten seasons with numerous partners to fund the fight against this terrible disease,” said Regina Pats VP of Business Operations Cliff Mapes.  “The last decade we’ve brought everything from pink jerseys, sticks, hats, shirts, mitts and ice to our fans.  It’s great to bring it full circle this year and be able to offer a high quality pink stick to our fans.  I also have to thank Pats fans for their generosity over the years as our success in fundraising is only possible with their support.”
When they take to the ice, the Pats will sport special 10th anniversary crests on their jerseys in support of breast cancer awareness when they skate against the Broncos.

Tickets for Breast Cancer Awareness Night are available at Ticketmaster.ca, the Brandt Centre Box Office or Safeway locations throughout Regina.  For more information on discounted tickets for groups of ten or more, call Kellin Enslev at 306-337-1538.
