The 4 and 2 Regina Thunder are looking for a bounce back effort on Sunday when they visit the Huskies in Edmonton. The Thunder lost at home 20-13 on Sunday to the Calgary Colts and dropped from the top ranked team in the Country to number 3 in the CJFL. Jaeden Marwick will not play this weekend after suffering a rib injury against the Colts and as a result Spencer Mack will get the start at quarterback. The Huskies are coming off their second win of the year on the weekend, beating the Edmonton Wildcats 50-36 to keep their playoff hopes alive.


The Thunder offense has scored 151 points which is 4th in the PFC. They have accumulated 140 first downs, 681 rushing yards and 1739 through the air. They have thrown 13 interceptions, lost 7 fumbles and turned it over on downs 3 times.

QB Spencer Mack gets the start, he is 23 of 41 passing on the year for 291 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.

Jaeden Marwick will not play Sunday but leads the team with 1448 passing yards on 116 completions. He has thrown 7 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Preston Bews leads the team in receiving with 489 yards on 36 catches and has 4 touchdowns.

Kasim Ocaya has 28 grabs for 368 yards and a TD. Kristiane Desautels with 19 for 249. Levi Paul 11 for 125 and a touchdown, Matt Frass 16 for 153 and 2 TD's, and Thomas Bresciani 7 for 103 and a TD.

The teams leading rusher is Colton Klassen with 245 yards on 43 carries and 2 touchdowns. Matt Frass has 162 yards on 51 carries.


The Huskies have scored 149 points on the year. They have thrown 11 interceptions, lost 7 fumbles and turned it over on downs 8 times.

Trevor Erdmann is 104 for 200 passing for 1369 yards, 9 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

The teams leading receiver is Jimmie Airie with 20 catches for 343 yards and four touchdowns.

Yannick L'Abbe is next with 314 yards on 18 catches and also has 4 TD's.

Jimmie Airie also leads the team in rushing with 273 yards on 50 carries and has scored a touchdown. Brandon Stewart has 214 yards on 41 carries.


The Thunder defense has allowed a league best 114 yards this season. They have given up 108 first downs, 784 rushing yards and 1255 through the air. The defense has 6 interceptions, 10 fumble recoveries and 3 turn overs on downs.

Brandon Whitehouse leads the Thunder with 22 tackles, he has put up a fumble recovery, an interception and 2 sacks on the year.

Michael Desjarlais has 17 tackles, 5 assisted and a fumble return touchdown.

Brett Selinger has 17 tackles, 3 assisted and a fumble return TD. Terry Giovannetti with 12 tackles, 5 assisted, a knockdown and a forced fumble.


The Huskies defense has given up a league high 231 points. They have 6 interceptions, 5 fumble recoveries and have forced 6 turnovers on downs.

Jassen brown has 5 tackles, 8 on special teams, a knockdown, a fumble return TD and 3 sacks.

Brandt Kolybaba with 37 tackles, 6 assisted, 1 fumble recovery and an interception.

Brandon Modin with 30 tackles, 3 assisted, 2 sacks, a knockdown and an interception. Chase Paylor with 18 tackles, 3 assisted and a forced fumble.


Thunder kicker William McGee has punted 37 times for 1128 yards with a long of 53. He is 11 of 17 kicking field goals.

Kristiane Desautels has 23 punt returns for 238 yards and 7 kickoff returns for 188 yards.

Menedum Menegbo has 8 kickoff returns for 141 yards.


Huskies kicker Jonathan Hiedebrecht has punted 44 times for 1701 yards with a long of 71. He is 14 of 14 kicking field goals.

Jimmie Airie has 13 punt returns for 120 yards.

Sheldon Shaw with 309 yards in kickoff returns on 13 tries. Jason Jubinville with 6 for 137.
