REGINA THUNDER @ EDMONTON HUSKIES GAME PREVIEW


The 4 and 2 Regina Thunder are looking for a bounce back effort on Sunday when they visit the Huskies in Edmonton. The Thunder lost at home 20-13 on Sunday to the Calgary Colts and dropped from the top ranked team in the Country to number 3 in the CJFL. Jaeden Marwick will not play this weekend after suffering a rib injury against the Colts and as a result Spencer Mack will get the start at quarterback. The Huskies are coming off their second win of the year on the weekend, beating the Edmonton Wildcats 50-36 to keep their playoff hopes alive.

OFFENSIVE MATCH-UP

The Thunder offense has scored 151 points which is 4th in the PFC. They have accumulated 140 first downs, 681 rushing yards and 1739 through the air. They have thrown 13 interceptions, lost 7 fumbles and turned it over on downs 3 times.

QB Spencer Mack gets the start, he is 23 of 41 passing on the year for 291 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.

Jaeden Marwick will not play Sunday but leads the team with 1448 passing yards on 116 completions. He has thrown 7 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Preston Bews leads the team in receiving with 489 yards on 36 catches and has 4 touchdowns.

Kasim Ocaya has 28 grabs for 368 yards and a TD. Kristiane Desautels with 19 for 249. Levi Paul 11 for 125 and a touchdown, Matt Frass 16 for 153 and 2 TD's, and Thomas Bresciani 7 for 103 and a TD.

The teams leading rusher is Colton Klassen with 245 yards on 43 carries and 2 touchdowns. Matt Frass has 162 yards on 51 carries.

Brandon Whitehouse leads the Thunder with 22 tackles, he has put up a fumble recovery, an interception and 2 sacks on the year.

Michael Desjarlais has 17 tackles, 5 assisted and a fumble return touchdown.

Brett Selinger has 17 tackles, 3 assisted and a fumble return TD. Terry Giovannetti with 12 tackles, 5 assisted, a knockdown and a forced fumble.
