T-Birds acquire Allan from Tigers

KENT, October 13, 2014 - Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell today announced the team has acquired defenseman Scott Allan from the Medicine Hat Tigers for a fifth round selection in the 2016 Bantam Draft.

"We are down to five defensemen heading into a very busy time in our schedule," said Farwell. "We feel there is huge potential with Scott and look forward to adding him to our team."

Allan, 6'6 and 235 pounds, has played in three games with the Tigers this season and has not registered a point. In his rookie season last year Allan, from Thornton, Colorado, played in 34 games and had no points with 24 penalty minutes.

The T-Birds host the Spokane Chiefs on the first Directors Mortgage 2-for-Tuesday of the season on Tuesday at 7:05pm at ShoWare Center.

They travel to Spokane to play the Chiefs on Wednesday at 7:05pm at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.

You know we have always heard how we wanted our defense to get bigger but yet when you see all these big guys going elsewhere for next to nothing in terms of price it kind of makes you scratch your head abit and wonder WTF
