Warriors acquire Green from Brandon

Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Alan Millar has announced the acquisition of 19-year-old defenseman Taylor Green from the Brandon Wheat Kings in exchange for a 5thround pick in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.

Green, 6’7” 220lbs, is from Port Coquitlam, BC and is currently in his third season in the WHL.  He was selected by the Seattle Thunderbirds in the 2nd round, 26th overall, of the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft.  He was traded to the Brandon Wheat Kings before the start of the 2013-2014 season.

Last year with Brandon, Green had 10 assists and 56 penalty minutes in 65 games.  So far this season, he has a goal and two points and has a +4 rating in four games.  Green has played in 138 regular season WHL games, he has four goals and 20 career points.

Green would of been a perfect type of Dman we need and lack... we have no big body Dman who can protect the front of the net and also intimidate other teams
