Pat Canadians split home and home with Swift Current

The Regina Pat Canadians played the Swift Current Legionnaires in back to back games on Friday and Saturday.  On Friday they travelled to Swift Current and came away with a road win and then on Saturday they hosted the Legionnaires for an afternoon game and lost.

On Friday, Ty Barnstable scored the lone goal of the game with Tyler Lees and Chanse Nameth assisting. Curtis Meger stopped 13 of 13 shots directed his way and earned the 1-0 shutout victory.

Caleb Lumbard stopped 29 of 30 shots directed his way.

Then on Saturday at the Cooperators Arena the Canadians hosted the Legionnaires and lost 5 – 2.

Scoring for the Pat Canadians was Carson Focht and Tanner McKechnie.

Dean McNabb and Curtis Meger combined to make 24 of 29 saves in the loss.

Scoring for Swift Current was Matthew Jones, Tyde Hutchinson, Drieden Gauthier, Tristan Carey and Matthew Kesselring.

Thomas Martineau stopped 49 of 51 shots in the earning the victory.

The next home game for the Regina Pat Canadians is Saturday at 7:30 pm against the Saskatoon Contacts.
