PFC Outstanding Player Awards include big Regina Flavour

The Prairie Football Conference is pleased to announce their Outstanding Player Award winners for the 2015 regular season.
Of the 14 awards handed out the Regina Thunder have six winners, while the Saskatoon Hilltops have five.

Coach of the Year – Tom Sargent – Saskatoon Hilltops (second consecutive year)
Outstanding Offensive Lineman – Matt Halbgewachs – Regina Thunder
Outstanding Offensive Back – Colton Klassen – Regina Thunder – 117 carries*, 911 yards*, 7.8 yards per carry and 5 touchdowns on route to his PFC rushing title
Outstanding Receiver – Ian Lee – Winnipeg Rifles – 30 receptions, 501 yards* and 4 touchdowns
Outstanding Quarterback – Jaeden Marwick – Regina Thunder – 118 completions, 1,640 yards, 19 touchdowns*, 9.4 average yards, 112.2 passer efficiency rating
Outstanding Defensive Lineman – Blake Adams – Saskatoon Hilltops – 10 tackles, 12 assists, 2 sacks
Outstanding Defensive Linebacker – Jakub Jakoubek – Calgary Colts second consecutive year) – 31 tackles, 23 assists*, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble

Outstanding Special Teams  and Return Specialist – Chad Braun – Saskatoon Hilltops – 28 punt returns, 320 yards*, 11.4 average return
Rookie of the Year – Defensive Back Tony Savchuck – Edmonton Wildcats – 29 tackles, 4 assists, 1 sack, 2 knockdowns, 1 forced fumble, 5 interceptions
Most Valuable Player – Jaeden Marwick – Regina Thunder – 118 completions, 1,640 yards, 19 touchdowns*, 9.4 average yards, 112.2 passer efficiency rating
Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year – Linebacker – Cole Benkic – Saskatoon Hilltops – 24 tackles, 16 assists, 0.5 sack, 3 knockdowns, 2  fumble recoveries, 3 interceptions including 1 for a touchdown
Outstanding Offensive Player of the Year – Running Back - Colton Klassen – Regina Thunder – 117 carries*, 911 yards*, 7.8 yards per carry and 5 touchdowns on route to his PFC rushing title
The PFC championship game is set for Sunday at 1:00pm at the SMF Field in Saskatoon as the Hilltops host the Calgary Colts.  The winner will host the 2015 Canadian Bowl on November 7, 2015.
