Winterhawks' Hill named WHL Goalie of the Month

Calgary, AB  The Western Hockey League announced today that Adin Hill of the Portland Winterhawks has been named the Vaughn WHL Goaltender of the Month for October 2015.

A 19-year-old from Calgary, AB, Hill posted a record of 7-4-0-0 over 11 appearances in October. He recorded a 2.02 goals against average and a .944 save percentage to go along with a league-leading three shutouts. In six of the games he started, Hill held the opposition to two goals or fewer. 

Hill’s terrific play helped the Winterhawks climb theWHL’s U.S. Division standings and propel the Club into third place. The 6-4, 190 lb netminder earned an impressive three first star honours, two second star selections as well as an additional third star nod in October games. Hill was also named the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending October 25th, 2015.  

Hill is in his second WHL campaign with the Portland Winterhawks and has posted a 42-16-1-0 record with five shutouts in 62 career regular season contests.
