The Lead Up
The Pats dropped a 2-1 decision in Red Deer on Saturday night to the Rebels. Tyler Brown stopped 37 of 39 shots faced in the loss while Lane Zablocki scored the team’s lone goal. The penalty kill went 8 for 9 in the game.

The Saskatoon Blades were last in action on Saturday when they lost at home to the Edmonton Oil Kings 3-1. Terrell Draude scored the goal and Brock Hamm made 33 saves for Saskatoon.

Pats Dominant over Saskatoon
The Pats have done something rarely seen in hockey at any level over the last two years against the Blades. Regina swept the season series in both 2013/14 and 2014/15 going 14-0-0-0 against their division rivals. The Pats have outscored Saskatoon 69-35 in those 14 games. The last time the Pats lost to Saskatoon was on March 9th 2013, 8-7 on overtime.

Williams and Wagner?

The Pats could be without captain Colby Williams and forward Austin Wagner for tonight’s contest. Wagner missed the teams last game with a lower body injury while the Pats are being cautious with Williams who has sat out the last 6 games. Regina is 3-0-0-0 with Williams in the lineup and Wagner has been one of their hottest scorers over the last month with 5 goals and 11 points in 10 games in the Month of November. We will see if they suit up tonight.

Blades Trades
The Saskatoon Blades made a couple of trades on Monday, one of them a blockbuster. The team sent Buffalo Sabres prospect defenceman Brycen Martin and a conditional 3rd oround pick in 2017 to the Everett Silvertips in exchange for 16-year-ol defenceman Jantzen Leslie, 16-year-old forward Ryan Anderson and a 2nd round pick in 2017. Also on Monday the team traded 18-year-old goaltender Nik Amundrud to the Calgary Hitmen and in return received a 6th round pick in 2016.
