The Lead Up
The Pats battled back in the 3rd period in Brandon on Sunday night, scoring twice to tie the game at 3. However the Wheat Kings scored three times in the final 1:11 to take the 6-3 win, handing the Pats their 5th straight defeat and 8th in their last 9 games. Adam Brooks led the way with 2 goals in the loss.

The Blades were in Prince Albert on Sunday and took the game to the 3rd tied 2-2. However the Raiders scored 4 times in the final period and won 6-2. Sean Montgomery and Brendan Guhle each scored twice in the win for Prince Albert.

Brooks Riding High
Pats forward Adam Brooks extended his point streak to 7 games on Sunday with his 2 goal performance. The 19-year-old has 5 goals and 8 assists over that stretch and is up to 50 points on the season. That is through 36 games and Brooks is now on pace to reach the 100 point plateau.

Saskatoon Turning the Tables
The Saskatoon Blades carry a two game winning streak over the Pats into tonight’s contest. The Blades snapped their 15 game losing streak to Regina earlier in the month with a 2-1 shootout victory and then followed that up with a 6-4 win at the Brandt Centre just before the Christmas break. The Blades enter tonight 6 points back of the Pats in the Eastern Conference standings but do have two games in hand.
