The Lead Up
The Pats saw their 15 game winning streak over the Saskatoon Blades come to an end on Sunday in a 2-1 shootout loss on the road. Adam Brooks scored the Pats goal while Tyler Brown made 37 saves but Connor Gay scored the lone goal of the 6 round shootout to give Saskatoon the extra point.

The Blazers were in Prince Albert on Saturday and picked up a 5-2 victory. Matt Needham had 4 assists while Deven Sideroffscored twice and added an assist in the win. Kamloops is two and oh so far on their East Division road swing with wins over Saskatoon and P.A.

Shootout Woes Continue
The Shootout has not been friendly to the Regina Pats over the last year. The club has dropped 5 in a row once a game goes past overtime and has not scored a single goal in any of those shootouts. However, when a game has been settled in overtime through last season and the start of 2015/16, the Pats hold a 9 and 3 record.

Brown Rebounds
Pats goaltender Tyler Brown bounced back in a big way on Sunday in Saskatoon after a couple of sub-par starts. The 18-year-old from Winnipeg stopped 37 of 38 shots through 65 minutes and kept the first 5 shooters in the shootout off the board. Brown has his save percentage up to .916 which is tied for 4th in the WHL. His G.A.A. has been lowered to 3.01 which is 14th in the league.

Pats – Blazers Recent History
The Pats have had good success against the Kamloops Blazers over the last four season. The clubs meet just once a year and Regina holds a 3-0-0-1 record in those games. The Pats have outscored Kamloops 20-12 in those contests. In fact you have to go back to the 2008/09 season for the last time the Pats lost in regulation to the Blazers, an 8-5 loss in Kamloops.

Blazers Ingram Honoured
Kamloops goaltender and Imperial Saskatchewan product Connor Ingram was the named the WHL goalie of the week on Monday. Ingram posted a 2-0-0-0 record with a 2.00 G.A.A. and a .938 save percentage. Ingram made 33 saves in a win over Saskatoon and was named the games 2nd star and then followed that up with 28 saves against the  Prince Albert Raiders.
