Zborovskiy makes Team Russia


Regina Pats defenceman Sergey Zborovskiy will represent Team Russia at the upcoming 2016 World Junior Hockey Championship.

Zborovskiy, a 3rd round pick of the New York Rangers, has 4 goals and 7 assists so far this season with the Pats.

The Russians announced their roster this morning which also includes WHLer's Radel Fazleev of the Calgary Hitmen and Ivan Provorov of the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Russia opens the tournament on Boxing Day against the Czech Republic.

They just announced Sergei was cut from final roster. Looks like another come in to replace him. Did he get hurt late in camp?
