The Lead Up
The Pats took a 1-0 lead to the 3rd period in Portland on Wednesday but the Winterhawks scored twice in the first 7 minutes to lead 2-1. The Pats pulled Jordan Hollett late and Portland added two empty netters to win 4-1 and hand Regina their first loss against the U.S. Division on the road trip.

The Thunderbirds were last in action in Prince George on Wednesday where they shut out the Cougars 4-0. Landon Bow made 26 saves for the shutout while Cavin Leth led the offense with 2 goals.

Brooks Keeps Streak Going
The WHL’s leading scorer Adam Brooks extended his point streak to 15 games with his 26th goal of the season in Portland on Wednesday. The 19-year-old has 12 goals and 20 assists in those 15 games. The 15 game streak is the longest in the WHL this season.

Brown Returns
Pats starting netminder Tyler Brown made his return to the lineup on Wednesday night in Portland but he did back up Jordan Hollett. Brown missed the previous 3 games with an upper body injury and will likely get the nod tonight against the Thunderbirds.

Just seen Seattle play in Prince George on Tuesday & Wednesday, Pats better get ready for a physical - they are big and finish their checks hard. They are fast & don't give you much space and Barzal and Eansor stir the drink for them.
