The Regina Pats went to Prince Albert for the final time in the 2015/16 season for their 7th of 8 meetings against the Raiders. The Pats took a 1-2-2-1 record against P.A. into the game. Regina was coming off a 4-3 shootout win over Swift Current on Monday, their 5th win in their last 7 contests. The Raiders meanwhile dropped a 5-0 decision at home to Moose Jaw on Monday, Dryden Hunt scored a hattrick and had 5 points in the win for Moose Jaw. Adam Brooks took a 7 game point streak into the contest with a goal and 13 assists in those games. Sam Steel had points in 6 straight with 2 goals and 7 assists while Cole Sanford had 4 goals and 5 assists over a 4 game streak. The Pats got forward Adam berg back into the lineup on Wednesday, he had missed the previous 8 games with an upper-body injury. Here are the lineups for the contest with the starters highlighted.






Pats scratches - Williams, Woods and Pouteau. 
Raiders scratches - Paivarinta, Babych and Olynek. 

In the first period the tow teams got off to a quick start in a fast game. The Pats got the first powerplay but did not cash. Later in the period both Reid Gardiner and Connor Hobbs went to the box and we played 4 on 4. With the extra space the Pats took the lead. Adam Brooks and Austin Wagner worked a perfect give and go which Wagner finished off for his 21st of the year at 15:46. James Hilsendager the second assist and it was 1-0. The Pats extended their lead to 2-0 at the 18:48 mark. Connor Hobbs blocked a shot in the slot and fed Adam Brooks on a breakaway, he made no mistake finishing on the forehand for his 29th. Brooks with a two point period extended his point streak to 8 games, was up to 2 goals and 14 assists in that stretch and his team took the two goal to the break and led on the shot clock 10-6.

In the second frame the Raiders got on the board early. Brendan Guhle with a heck of a shot from the right circle into the top corner for his 9th from Reid Gardiner and Jordan Tkatch at 1:10 and the Pats lead was 2-1. The Raiders continued to push after that but Tyler Brown made some massive saves and the Pats held on to that 2-1 lead after 40 minutes. Jake Leschyshyn had the best Pats chance in the frame on a breakaway but could not get it to go. The Raiders outshot the Pats 17-10 in the period and led 23-20 overall.

In the third period the Raiders tied the game at 4:19 on a delayed penalty call. Jordan Tkatch scored his 17th from Luke Coleman and Tim Vanstone and it was 2-2. The Pats powerplay got them the lead back. Adam Brooks tipped a point shot for his 30th from Jared Freadrich and Sean Richards at 7:16 and it was 3-2. It stayed that way until late when the Raiders pulled the goalie and that's when Adam Broosk completed his hattrick with his 31st of the year at 19:04. Assists to Rykr Cole and Cole Sanford and it was 4-2 and that was the final score. The Raiders outshot the Pats 13-12 in the period and 36-32.

The Pats powerplay went 1 for 3 in the game and the penalty kill was 1 for 1.

The third star of the game went to the Pats Tyler Brown who stopped 34 of 36 shots faced. The second star to the Raiders Jordan Tkatch who had a goal in the loss and the first star to the Pats Adam Brooks who had a hattrick and an assist. 

The Pats will return home to host the Kootenay Ice on Friday in a 7 o'clock puck drop at the Brandt Centre.
