PAT CANADIANS COMPLETE 1ST ROUND SWEEP

The Regina Pat Canadians hosted the Battleford Stars in Midget AAA playoff game action on Tuesday in one of the craziest scenarios ever played in the SMAAAHL.

They played game 3 – and trounced the Battleford Stars – 6 – 0 and then had to play an overtime on a controversial call from game one.

For game 3 – the Pat Canadians got two goals from Tyler Lees and singles from Randen Schmidt, Carson Focht, Ty Barnstable and Lukas Sillinger.

Curtis Meger stopped all 24 shots directed his way for the victory.

Jake Taylor and Lance Alm stopped 27 of 33 shots in the loss.

In the extension of game one – the overtime winning goal was scored by Jake Heerspink.  The Pat Canadians win the series by 3 games to none and now await their round two opponent.
