Regina Pats officially clinch playoff spot

For the third straight season, and fourth in the last five, the Regina Pats will play in the playoffs.

The club did not play Saturday night but the Swift Current Broncos did them a favour winning in Medicine Hat over the Tigers to secure a playoff spot for Regina.

The Pats are sitting in the first wild card spot in the Eastern Conference with 7 games left on their schedule. They are four points back of the Moose Jaw Warriors for third in the East Division with a game in hand which they will use on Sunday afternoon against the Brandon Wheat Kings at the Brandt Centre.

If the playoffs started today the Pats would play the Lethbridge Hurricanes in round one.
