The Lead Up
In game 2 the Pats and Rebels went back and forth through the opening two periods and the game was tied 3-3 heading to the final frame. The Rebels managed to score a powerplay goal from Adam Musil just past the midway point and that stood up as the game winner. Adam Brooks had a goal and an assist for the Pats in the loss while Josh Mahura and Brandon Hagel each had two points for the Rebels.

Powerplay/Even Strength
The Pats have scored 5 goals in the opening two games of the series and all of them have come with the man advantage. The Rebels have 4 powerplay goals and one that came the exact second a Pats penalty had expired. Essentially Red Deer has two goals in the series at even strength and that has been the difference in two one goal wins for the Rebels. The Pats powerplay is leading the WHL Playoffs at over 30 per cent, going 10 for 32 so far in the post season.

Big Three
The Pats top three scorers during the regular season continue to put up numbers here in the post season. Adam Brooks, Sam Steel and Cole Sanford have at least a point in all seven playoff games for the Pats so far. Brooks is leading the WHL in playoff scoring with 18 points in seven games while Steel and Sanford both have 11 points in those games. They are tied for 6th in scoring.
