The London Knights (3-0) punched their ticket to Sunday's MasterCard Memorial Cup Final with a 5-2 win over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (1-2) on Tuesday night. The win was London's 16th in a row.

The Knights powerplay struck for the 7th and 8th times in the tournament in the opening frame, JJ Piccinich (2) and Matthew Tkachuk (2) the goals. There were 8 total powerplays between the two clubs in the first 20 minutes.

The parade to the penalty box continued in the second. The Huskies powerplay struck as Timo Meier buried his 4th from the top of the right circle and it was 2-1. Late in the period the Knights made it 3-1 with a beautiful short handed goal. Max Jones (2) finished off a gorgeous passing play with Mitch Marner who picked up his 3rd assist and it was 3-1 London.

In the third London scored their third powerplay goal, Christian Dvorak (6) on a rebound and it was 4-1. The Huskies got back within 2 when Timo Meier (5) slid one just inside the post to make it a 4-2 game. Mathew Tkachuk (3) sealed it with an empty netter and 5-2 was the final score.

Mitch Marner finished with another 4 assists and leads the tournament with 13 points.

London was 3 for 7 on the powerplay and the Huskies were 2 for 10.

The round robin wraps up on Wednesday night when the Red Deer Rebels (1-1) take on the Brandon Wheat Kings (0-2). Brandon needs a win to force a tie breaker or they are out and Red Deer would play Rouyn-Noranda in Friday's semi-final.
