The London Knights won their 15th straight game and improved to 2-0 at the Mastercard Memorial Cup with a 9-1 drubbing of the Brandon Wheat Kings (0-2) on Monday night.

The Knights struck early and often in this one scoring 4 in the first, 3 in the second and 2 in the third.

Mitch Marner had 4 assists in the win while Christian Dvorak added three goals and a helper.

London went 4/8 on the powerplay and now have 6 PP goals through two games of the tournament.

The Wheat Kings (0-2) will wrap up the round robin against the Red Deer Rebels (1-1) on Wednesday. Brandon needs a win to extend their tournament.

On Tuesday London (2-0) will play Rouyn-Noranda (1-1) at 8 PM.

It was an old fashioned butt kicking. Brandon like an average JrA club out there. They did the same thing the last time they were in the Memorial Cup as hosts. Seem to lack character. Maybe franchises like London are the ones to be emulated. They have been to the Memorial 4 of the last 5 years, and will be stronger next year. They also don't have a bunch of 29 year old either. It's all about talent and size. ow the Pats can see just how good you have to be to win the Memorial Cup. They are a distance away yet.
