Friday night, the Regina Red Sox improved their record to 18-10 with a 3-2 win over the visiting Melville Millionaires.

Infielder Aden Campbell, batting .376, led the Red Sox offensive charge with two hits, a run scored, a walk and an RBI. Jake Howard also added a pair of hits and a run for Regina. 

Red Sox starter Adam Prashad picked up the win allowing just one earned run, on four hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings. With 525 fans looking on closer Sam Brunner got the last three outs of the contest to earn his eighth save. 

Kris Brown took the loss for the Melville Millionaires.

Regina plays host to the Brooks Bombers this weekend at Currie Field. Saturday’s game starts at 7:05 while Sunday’s afternoon matinee begins at 2:05 pm.
