The Regina Red Sox celebrated Canada Day with a 7-2 victory over the Edmonton Prospects.

Jake Howard went two for five and hit his team leading fourth home run. He also scored two runs and had two RBI.

Adam Prashad picked up his third win of the season as he went eight solid innings for the Red Sox.  Prashad faced 32 Prospect hitters allowing just two runs on eight hits and two walks. Edmonton Prospects' starter Noah Gapp lasted five innings and struck out six in the loss.

The victory gives the Red Sox a 14-9 record, good enough for second place just 2.5 games behind Eastern Division leader Swift Current.

An announced crowd of over 7,200 fans enjoyed the WMBL action in Edmonton.
